Steve Rodems
is the co-founder and sole owner of Fast Track Internships.
As the father of a college age student, Steve realized the
value of internships in helping students explore career
interests and land their dream jobs upon graduation.
Steve Rodems
Senior Partner, Fast Track Internships
Steve Rodems brings 25 years of marketing experience with the nation's leading advertising agencies and marketing firms. He has worked with many of the world's most respected brands and his client successes include the likes of Dell, Sony PlayStation, Toyota, SBC/AT&T, Sears, P&G, Budweiser, Hyatt, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, Best Buy and DIRECTV. For the past 10 years Steve worked at Rapp Collins Worldwide, an international database and direct response agency. As Senior Vice President of Business Development, Steve was responsible for winning new clients across all three U.S. offices and around the globe. During his tenure, Rapp Collins Worldwide grew to become the #1 ranked agency in the U.S. and one of the largest agencies in the world. To date, Steve's new account wins have delivered incremental sales revenue in excess of $100 million.
In his corporate positions Steve has also been responsible for planning, hiring and managing company-wide college internship programs. His interest in internship programs began with his own college summer internship jobs. While graduating Magna Cum Laude was an important door-opener in getting into graduate school at Northwestern University, the admissions department was more excited about his practical internship experience. Moreover, Steve's internship experience gave him a discernable edge over the hordes of other graduating students when it came time to interview for his dream full-time career position. Steve accepted an offer from his first choice—Chicago-based Leo Burnett advertising agency. "I learned an early lesson: Student interns graduate with confidence—and it shows."
The breadth of Steve's career includes global strategic planning and sales marketing positions with best-in-class marketing organizations specializing in broadcast advertising, sales promotion, database and direct response marketing, and eCRM. Steve is a recognized industry expert in "integrating marketing", which combines best practices from all these disciplines into a unified approach to most effectively target market products, services and organizations.
Steve's family means everything to him. His wife Nancie is a seasoned executive in the field of corporate recruitment, and is currently responsible for executive career recruiting/development for Kentucky Fried Chicken. This January Steve's daughter Hannah begins her own internship in Washington D.C. with the FBI's Violent Crime Division.
Steve can be contacted toll-free at 866.425.0001.
Steve has nearly 25 years of marketing experience including most recently as Senior Vice President at Rapp Collins, the world's largest Direct Marketing agency. Steve has been involved in marketing some of the world's most respected brands including Dell, Sony Playstation, Toyota, Budwieser, Best Buy and DIRECT TV.
Leveraging this experience has enabled Steve to create
powerful internship marketing campaigns for students in a
wide variety of fields. When a student works with Fast Track Internships, they will be working one-on-one with Steve
to tap into the vast pool of unadvertised internships.
